But most of all good fun 😊
She sailed well, but my enthusiasm to leave the gun ports open cost me dear. The water got in the hull and knocked out the RC, leaving her listing and drifting some way from shore.
Salvation came in the shape of a 10 year son of a friend, who strip to his underwear and swam out to rescue her!
Now she sits retired in a glass case.
I added a RC motor and took her to a nearby boating lake. Used a couple of times before retiring to the loft for the last 10 years.
Recently took her out and after a bit of polish and oil for the pro shaft, she's running well.
My question is, does anyone know what's she's worth?
- NorthumbrianMidshipmanI love anything with sails on they are so relaxing to sail I hope you have many happy hours sailing her

- lubberlandAble SeamanHI Dave, The current draw is 0.5amp free and 2amp nearly stalled (burnt fingers). also a Viper 15amp ESC fitted, regards Geoff.
The boat isnt quite flat out here due to the difficulty videoing and steering.

What a bummer. Bread is not good for wildlife and certainly not for props.
Hopefully your motor should be OK as long as the wires are not burnt. if you have a multimeter you could check the insulation between the shaft and each winding using the highest ohms reading. it should be high, if low chances are there is an internal short. A quick check (on a lower ohm reading) between windings should give similar results between every pair, again any variance may indicate an internal short.

A nicely detailed radio controlled 1/32nd scale model of the Whitby based 21.5 metre North Sea trawler Our Lass II. This vessel is typical of a number of modern, well equiped trawlers built in recent years. now sold my boat
- MataroaChief Petty Officer 1st ClassHI Bob I got the trawler from my Uncle in Nov 2012 The trawler was made in the 1970 by my Uncle the motor in trawler was taycol motor all so I had a12v blower motor in her with 4 12v 7 APH batters and 3 6v 4.5APH batters for the running gear .theres a lot more I can tell you about the work that I have done to the trawler but it will take all day to tell you all about it you know what I maen 😀
many thanks cliff - NorthumbrianMidshipmanHI Cliff
